  • - We collect your phone number and, if you opt in, a selfie, so we can text you your event photos.
  • - Your selfie is used only to match you to your photos. We delete it on request, and automatically within 12 months.
  • - You must be 18 to subscribe. We do not enroll children's faces. Kids only ever appear in a parent or guardian's gallery.
  • - At brand or sponsor events, if you give us your email or Instagram handle, we may share those with the event's brand and sponsors so they can reach out. At connection events, your social handle may also be shared with other attendees.

  • - At events involving kids or families, we share none of this individually — brands and sponsors get anonymized totals only, and nothing about minors.

At Primeshot, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website, mobile apps, or services ("Services"). By using the Services, you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • - Phone number (to deliver your photos by text)
  • - Email address (if you provide it to receive or view photos, or to subscribe)
  • - Instagram or other social media handle (if you provide it at an Event)
  • - A selfie photograph, if you opt in to face matching
  • - Consent choices you make when subscribing

Biometric information (only if you opt in):

  • - A facial geometry template derived from your selfie, used solely to match you to your photos. We describe this in detail in Section 4.

Photos:

  • - Photos taken at Events in which you appear.

Device and usage data:

  • - IP address, browser and device type, time of access, and general usage activity.
  • - Approximate location, only if you enable it.

We do not collect demographic inferences (such as age or gender) about attendees, and we do not collect any information from anyone we know to be under 18.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • - Deliver your matched Event photos to you
  • - Operate, maintain, and improve the Services
  • - Send you Service-related text messages about your photos
  • - Verify access and prevent fraud or misuse
  • - Share the email address and social handle you provide with the Event's brand or sponsor, so they can reach out to you (see Section 5)
  • - Produce anonymized, aggregate analytics for Event Organizers and sponsors (see Section 5)

We do not use your Biometric Data for anything other than photo matching, and we never use your phone number for marketing, never share it with brands or sponsors, and never sell it.

3. Children and Minors

Primeshot is designed for use by adults 18 and older. This is especially important at family Events.

  • - Only adults (18+) may subscribe, provide a phone number, or provide a selfie.
  • - We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we never create facial recognition templates for minors.
  • - At family Events, a parent or legal guardian subscribes and consents on behalf of their household. Photos in which a minor appears alongside that subscribing adult may be delivered to the adult's gallery. Photos of a minor with no subscribing adult present are not matched or delivered.
  • - We do not share minors' images or any information about minors with sponsors, ever.
  • - A parent or guardian may request removal of any photo of their child, or deletion of related data, at any time by emailing privacy@primeshot.com, and we will act promptly.

If you believe a minor has provided us personal information directly, contact us at privacy@primeshot.com and we will delete it.

4. Biometric Data

If you opt in to face matching:

  • - What we process: a facial geometry template derived from the selfie you provide.
  • - Why: solely to identify and deliver photos of you from an Event.
  • - Retention: we retain your selfie and biometric template for no more than twelve (12) months after your most recent Event or subscription activity.
  • - Destruction: we permanently delete this data at the end of that period, or sooner upon your request.
  • - No sale or disclosure: we never sell or trade biometric data, and we never disclose it to sponsors or Event Organizers. We use only the service providers strictly necessary to run the matching technology, under contract, and only for that purpose.
  • - Voluntary: providing a selfie is optional. You can decline and still attend the Event; you simply won't receive automated matching.

5. How We Share Information

We share information as follows:

Service providers: We use trusted vendors (for example, our SMS delivery provider and cloud hosting) strictly to operate the Services, under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing those services.

Brands and sponsors (email and social handle): At Events hosted or sponsored by a brand, the email address and social media handle you provide may be shared with that Event's brand and sponsors, so they can reach out to you, follow up, or share offers related to the Event. By providing your email or social handle at such an Event, you consent to this sharing.

Other attendees (connection Events): At Events specifically designed for connecting or networking, your social media handle may also be shared with other attendees to help you connect. This applies only at Events identified as connection Events, and only to the social handle you choose to provide.

Your phone number is treated differently and protected:We never share your phone number with brands, sponsors, Event Organizers, or other attendees, and we never sell it. Your phone number is used only to deliver your photos and Service messages to you.

Event Organizers: We provide Event Organizers with the operational information needed to run their Event, and, at brand or sponsor Events, the email and social handle described above. Event Organizers do not receive your phone number, selfie, or Biometric Data.

Aggregate analytics: We also provide Event Organizers and sponsors with anonymized, aggregate metrics such as total subscribers, reach, downloads, and shares.

Legal: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or Primeshot.

Minors — no individual sharing: At any Event involving minors, including family or community Events, we do not share any individual attendee's email, social handle, or other contact information with brands, sponsors, Event Organizers, or other attendees. At those Events, brands and sponsors receive anonymized, aggregate metrics only, and no information about minors is shared in any form.

We never sell your phone number, selfie, or Biometric Data. Where we share your email or social handle with brands or sponsors as described above, you can opt out at any time (see Section 8).

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tools to improve your experience, analyze performance, and remember preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to deliver the Services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Selfies and biometric templates are deleted on request or within 12 months as described in Section 4. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

8. Your Privacy Rights

You may:

  • - Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • - Request deletion of your personal information, selfie, and biometric data
  • - Withdraw consent for biometric matching or membership messages
  • - Opt out of having your email or social handle shared with brands or sponsors
  • - Opt out of text messages by replying STOP

To exercise any of these, email privacy@primeshot.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • - Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you.
  • - Access a copy of that information.
  • - Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • - Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • - Limit the use of sensitive personal information (which includes biometric data); we already limit biometric data to photo matching only.
  • - Opt out of sharing. At brand or sponsor Events, we may share the email address and social handle you provide with that Event's brand and sponsors. Under California law this may be considered "sharing" or "selling" of personal information. You have the right to opt out, and we will honor it. We do not sell or share your phone number, selfie, or Biometric Data under any circumstances.
  • - Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To opt out of email/social sharing, or to submit any California rights request, email privacy@primeshot.com.

We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

9. Security

We use encryption, secure infrastructure, and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we also encourage you to take reasonable precautions. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.

10. International Users

If you access Primeshot from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the U.S., subject to U.S. law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify users and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means acceptance of the revised policy.
